PS Plus Subscription Sale Takes 33% Off, But There’s a Big Catch

“This Days of Play, save on a new or upgraded PlayStation Plus membership – players who join PlayStation Plus during this year’s celebration can save up to 33% on select 12-month memberships,” is the wording from Sony. “For players who are currently a PlayStation Plus Essential or Extra member, save 33% on the remainder of your membership when upgrading to PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe.”

The catch of only allowing new and upgrading users access to the sale has been a disappointment for PS Plus users for some time now, as previous years have stuck to the same wording as above. If you want to get PS Plus for cheaper during Days of Play, you can only go up to a higher tier — you can’t stay at your current one for less.
