PS5 Pro Finally Gets Official Console Covers Alongside PS5 Slim

After an eight-month wait, players can finally get their hands on official PS5 Pro covers. At yesterday’s Ghost of Yotei State of Play, Sony announced that game themed-limited edition Gold face plates (pictured above) will be released for the PS5 Pro along with PS5 Slim.

PS5 Pro gets first themed console covers, but players need more choice

We’ve previously written at length about the strange lack of console covers for PS5 Pro, which Sony promised would be released in due course last November. While it’s nice to have Ghost of Yotei covers for both consoles, they’re limited edition, and we already know what that means for a large number of players.

That said, players have been switching things up by buying third-party covers from sites like AliExpress, so perhaps Sony doesn’t see much of a point in releasing the variety of covers that the PS5 Slim gets. Still, it would be nice to see more choice for PS5 Pro.

“Both [PS5 Slim and Pro] console covers feature the same kintsugi inspired designs and maker’s seal found on The PS5 Console – Ghost of Yōtei Gold Limited Edition Bundle,” Sony wrote on the PS Blog.
