Random chaotic puzzle-platformer Mosa Lina gets a big free expansion

Mosa Lina is a crazy game, one that sometimes the levels don’t exactly work right. It’s all part of the fun in this random puzzle-platformer.

As the developer originally explained it: “This game is a response to the current trend of Immersive Sim design, where every ability is perfectly suited to solve a specific problem in the game. In order to counter this “Lock and Key” philosophy, Mosa Lina is aggressively random”.

The Second Layer update brings 24 new tools, 189 new levels, 30 new boss level parts and 38 new music tracks. All in a free update to the game for all players. There’s also 10 new languages supported too. You may want to grab it now while it’s on sale until June 11th, when the price will go up.

The game also recently had a Nintendo Switch port, with the level-editor working cross-platform so players on all platforms can play everything made by the community. Nice.

While they’re saying (again) the game is actually done now, they still seem to plan some updates like more modding support and bug fixes.

Mosa Lina | Release Date: 17th October 2023
