Random: Hideo Kojima Gave His Studio a USB Stick with All His Ideas on It

Industry icon Hideo Kojima is now officially past the age of 60 and after having an illness during the pandemic he’s had some serious thoughts about his future.
While he’s currently got projects like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach in the pipeline, he’s also very much mindful of the future of his studio after he’s no longer around.
Speaking in the latest issue of Edge Magazine (via VGC), he mentioned how “this is a fear for me: what happens to Kojima Productions after I’m gone? I don’t want them to just manage our existing IP”.
So he’s given a USB stick to his assistant which apparently contains all of his ideas on it “kind of like a will” — so the team could “perhaps continue to make things” long after he’s gone, rather than go forward without any guidance.
Apart from a few other projects, Kojima is also working on the upcoming action-espionage game Physint, which he supposedly decided to do after discovering how a lot of fans wanted something else along the lines of his Metal Gear Solid games.
Kojima was also considering directing a movie at one point but decided to reassess his priorities after speaking to the film directors Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn, who told him to stick with games.
