Rokid Glasses to debut at IFA 2025, raising the bar for AR

I’ve reviewed a few augmented reality glasses, and they’ve finally started to reach the point where they’re no longer a novelty, but a true second screen and viable productivity tool. Additionally, they’ve also reached the point where they are an excellent choice for large-screen entertainment on the go without having to carry cumbersome equipment. Rokid wants to take the next step in that journey, and with the Rokid Glasses, I think they might have done exactly that. Let’s have the Rokid team tell us about it:
The Rokid Glasses advance what wearable technology can do by blending AI, AR, and a smart 12MP first-person camera person camera into a sleek, ultra lightweight 49g frame. Boosting productivity, the Rokid Glasses act as a true AI-driven smart assistant, transforming everyday experiences into seamless, hands-free interactions. From real-time multi-language translation that breaks down communication barriers, to instant object recognition and AI-powered problem solving, Rokid Glasses make complex tasks intuitive and accessible. The Rokid Glasses feature integrated premium audio ensures users can enjoy music, take calls, or stay on top of notifications without ever pulling out a phone, while the first-person camera captures life’s moments from your POV. Together, these features deliver a powerful fusion of lifestyle integration and advanced technology, making Rokid Glasses not just a gadget, but a smarter way to engage with the world.
There are competitors coming this fall, courtesy of giants Meta and Google, but both of them opted for a single display. They’re also literally DOUBLE the price of the Rokid Glasses. These devices look like they’ll be able to satisfy every possible use case I could come up with, without the corporate baggage attached to both Google and Meta. What are those use cases? How does having your entire script available right in front of your eyes? How about a list of bullets you want to hit in a speech? Realtime translation, AI-based identification of objects in your view and displaying information about them, and realtime directions displayed in front of you without the need to ever pull out your phone. The fact that all of these functions are also accessible hands-free is even more exciting.

Hands-free voice controls simplify everything from secure payments and reminders to calls and navigation, while productivity features like a built-in teleprompter, HUD-enabled real-time maps, and AI transcription streamline work and travel alike. Even posture monitoring and health reminders are built in, ensuring balance between performance and well-being. Whether in the office, presenting on stage, or exploring a new city, Rokid Glasses deliver a stylish, intelligent companion that keeps you connected, efficient, and in control.
The Rokid Glasses also solve for another issue I’ve had with several glasses I’ve tested thus far – battery life. These devices are clocked in the lab as having all-day battery life for normal use such as the ones I described above. “Intensive video recording” is only 45 minutes, but that’s significantly more than anything else on the market. Better still, if you take a break they can be fully charged once more courtesy of a charging case capable of recharging them back to 90% in only 10 minutes, and full in 20! That case can recharge the glasses from empty to full in ten full charges.

The team at Rokid have shipped a number of AR glasses, having even designed their own Android-based ecosystem called YodaOS-Master. Beyond just these glasses, they’ve also designed utility-based devices for various industries for more than the last decade. This newest step is a big one, and the fact that they’ve beat the big boys to the punch, all while doubling the tech and halving the price is downright impressive.

You can see the Rokid Glasses for yourself if you happen to be at IFA 2025 you can drop in at Booth H6.2-169 from September 5–9, 2025, or order a pair at the official site Rokid.com or hit the Kickstarter effort which has already blown well past its funding goals.
