SEGA Football Club Champions free to play management game announced

SEGA has announced SEGA Football Club Champions, a free to play football management game that is going to be released on PC, PS5, PS4, iOS, and Android. According to SEGA, SEGA Football Club Champions is using Football Manager under the hood to power the gameplay. A release date is yet to be confirmed, but there is a closed beta that you can register for.

If you want to register for the SEGA Football Club Champions closed beta, you have until June 13th to do so, with successful applicants getting access to the game from 19th June to 30th June. The closed beta will be available on PC, iOS, and Android but not on PS4 or PS5. If you are applying for the Android version, you need to use the Gmail account that is linked to your Google Play account to get access, while for iOS you will need to download the Testflight app, and on Steam you just need to use an email you can access.

SEGA Football Club Champions will have two game modes built into it. The first of these is career mode where you build up a local team and steer it to becoming the best club in the world. In career mode, you will need to sign players, develop your club facilities, manage training, and get the tactics right to win on the pitch. The other mode is Dream Team Mode which is a PvP mode which will include a number of different options including Arena and Event matches. When it comes to licensing, the game has 10,000 pro players included. These players are from the Japan J1-J3 league, the South Korean K League, FIFPRO players, and players from Manchester City.
