Starfox-esque 3D Shooter Ex-Zodiac gets a major update with a new level

Ex-Zodiac is a 3D on-rails shooter made in the spirit of the classic Starfox, it’s currently in Early Access with Linux support and a major update just released.
This update adds in a wild-west ground-vehicle-based stage named MIRAGE complete with arches, canyons, nuke-hauling trains, robot horses and cowboys! Sounds like quite a riot. Seems the full release may still be a while away, with developer Ben Hickling working solo on most parts of it apart from the music.
You can see their brief update teaser trailer on it below:
Game Highlights:
- A retro, colourful, low-poly visual style.
- 11 main levels and 6 bonus levels currently (more than 12 will be available after full release).
- Major bosses at the end of each level, each piloted by a member of the Zodiac.
- A 16-bit style soundtrack by +TEK combining FM and wavetable synthesis.
- Barrel rolls.
It has Native Linux support and Valve rated it Steam Deck Playable.
Ex-Zodiac | Release Date: 21st July 2022
