The big Diplomacy Update for X4: Foundations is now in Beta

The Diplomacy Update for X4: Foundations is now in Beta bringing some huge new features to the popular space sim. It’s an opt-in Beta with a password, details on accessing it are available on their forum.

As the name suggests, Diplomacy is the biggest feature addition in this upcoming release. You get a whole new Embassy Room to deal with various faction diplomats. There’s also the new Agents class of NPCs to hire to help with negotiation or espionage that you can send off on a range of operations. Starting off with two agents, they have their own experience system to level up and specialise.

Egosoft say the biggest most game-changing addition is that you can “now trigger and influence dynamic diplomatic standing between NPC factions” which can have an “extraordinary impact on the galaxy, as alliances, trade partners and supply chains shift”.

Sounds like a sweet update.


They’ve also added in NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation support, an improved universe map, Brazilian Portuguese localised voice support and lots of smaller tweaks.
