There’s More to Ghost of Yotei’s Story Than Its Revenge Quest

Creative Director Jason Connell then adds it’s just a situation you run into as creatives. “We are huge fans of this stuff, so when other media comes out, whether it’s a video game or a film or a TV show, we’re kind of happy that it exists because it drives the medium forward.”
In a different interview with Game Informer, some clarification surrounding the game’s structure is shared. You don’t pick to hunt down any of the six members of the Yotei Six in whichever order you like; instead, there’s “a linear story structure that we really believe in to make sure that Atsu’s vengeance quest tears at the heartstrings”. It’s stated that there’s “a bit more choice” in the sequel, but it remains linear overall.
