Ultron’s secret feature makes the new Marvel Rivals hero more powerful

The age of Ultron has arrived with Marvel Rivals Season 2.5. The new Strategist is now available to play, along with a new map, Arakko. On top of this, NetEase has released numerous balance changes and unveiled the Combat Chest, a new progression system that includes exclusive cosmetic items.

Ultron has only been out for a couple of hours, yet he’s already received a massive buff. His ultimate ability now deals 33% more damage, while it also costs less energy to activate. Furthermore, the new Marvel Rivals hero has a secret feature you can use to make him even more powerful!

Ultron has a secret animation cancel in Marvel Rivals

Almost every hero in Marvel Rivals has so-called animation cancel. Instead of waiting for a certain animation to finish, you can cancel it and perform any other action. If you time it right, you can deal a lot more damage or get out of sticky situations. Ultron also benefits from animation canceling, allowing him to reload his weapon without waiting for the full animation to finish.

To successfully cancel the reload animation, summon a drone while Ultron’s Encephalo-Ray is in the early phase of reloading. If you time it correctly, your weapon will reload without finishing the animation. However, ensure you’re near an ally without a drone or the cancel might not work.

While this is certainly not a game-changing move, it does make Ultron much better in Marvel Rivals. Since his primary fire focuses solely on damage, optimizing his DPS through animation canceling is essential. Mastering the animation cancel move can turn you into a formidable threat for the opposing team, so if you intend on playing Ultron, make sure to practice it.
