Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 gets native mod support

The Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 mod scene is poised to expand dramatically. Developers have officially released the game’s Integration Studio, which provides players with the same toolbox used to construct and test the game, allowing modders to better integrate their creations within the game.
Director Dmitry Grigorenko announced the official Integration Studio for public use, giving the community unprecedented access to the game’s engine. This release means Space Marine 2 modders now have more creative flexibility than ever before. The official dev toolkit is expected to ease mod production significantly and dramatically speed up development while providing access to powerful tools previously unavailable to the public, such as the game’s AI behaviour trees, level scenario builder, UI and HUD components, and much more.
Released last year, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 effectively revived the Warhammer community and drew new interest. The game has seen consistent ongoing support, and this release of dev tools is arguably its most significant update yet. It is set to make modding easier and more open-ended than before. While many modifications have already been created (including a recent 12-player co-op mod), the official tools should empower the community like never before.
Looking ahead, developers have also revealed plans for periodic new releases as Space Marine 2’s Year 1 cycle continues, promising more enemy variety, weaponry, and armour. By releasing their internal development tools, Sabre Interactive is showing a strong commitment to empowering the modding community, setting the stage for player-created content to potentially extend the life and possibilities of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2.
