Where to Find Insulated Fabric in Dune: Awakening

Where to Find Insulated Fabric in Dune: Awakening

As expected of a survival-crafting game, Dune: Awakening makes you put in the effort to craft items that are needed to survive in the harsh environment of Arrakis. Insulated Fabric is an interesting material, because it’s not used in a ton of recipes, unlike items such as Steel Ingots or Salvaged Metal.

However, the recipes that use Insulated Fabric are definitely nice to have in a quality-of-life way, where they’re going to make dealing with thirst a little easier. As a result, there aren’t that many places where you’ll find Insulated Fabric in the wild, meaning you need to look specifically for it if you’re planning on crafting an item that needs it, or you just want to sell it on the CHOAM Exchange.

Insulated Fabric Location

Dune Awakening Insulated Fabric Location

The first place to find Insulated Fabric is in chests scattered around Stonestep Valley. As usual, you need to reach the Vermilion Gap portion of the main quests, and you definitely want to have a vehicle in order to get there from the Vermilion Gap to lower your chances of being eaten by a sandworm and losing everything you’re carrying with you.

However, that’s not the only option. You can purchase Insulated Fabric from Zoe at the Crossroads tradepost, or you can get it from other players through direct trades or by checking the CHOAM Exchange in Arrakeen or Harko Village. You might not always find it on the CHOAM Exchange depending on your server, but it can be worth checking if you don’t want to head to Stonestep Valley or the Crossroads tradepost.

Insulated Fabric Uses

Dune Awakening Decaliterjon Using Insulated Fabric

Insulated Fabric is only used in two crafting recipes:

  • Decaliterjon
  • Large Blood Sack

Both of these are useful for increasing the water you can carry with you, and the amount of blood you can take from your enemies, that can then be purified using a Blood Purifier at your base. Since you need to constantly monitor your water level, it’s definitely useful to get upgrades for items like the literjon, blood sack, windtraps, blood purifiers, and any other item related to collecting and storing water.

Because of that, you definitely want to keep some Insulate Fabric stored in case you need to make these water-based items in Dune: Awakening.
