Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition Free Update Adds Three Extra Games on PS5, PS4

Last year, developer Digital Eclipse revealed that Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition would receive an update, bringing a trio of additional Worms titles to the package for free.

While no date was given at the time, this update is available to download and install right now. Here’s a trailer showing off the new content:

To summarise, the free update adds the following games to Anniversary Edition:

• Worms (SNES)
• Worms (Mega Drive/Genesis)
• Worms World Party (Game Boy Advance)

As well as the new games, Digital Eclipse has implemented the Boggy B cheat code, which unlocks all content in each game. This is an option in the settings you can toggle on or off.

The press release summarises things nicely:

Experience the 32-Bit Worms World Party, two 16-Bit Worms Classics and a bonus Boggy B secret cheat code to bring you EVERYTHING in one place on your consoles. So, arm your holy hand-grenades, ready your sheep and try not to fall in the water in this retro-stravaganza of invertebrate mayhem.

Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition already includes the titular fan favourite, spruced up for modern displays, as well as the Game Boy Color version as a bonus.

On top of that is a documentary-like timeline featuring interviews and fun behind-the-scenes details.

We really enjoyed it in our review, and with this new update, it’s now an even better proposition. It’s not known if more updates are coming down the line.
