New Leak Reveals Galaxy S26 Ultra To Feature Larger 6.89-Inch CoE OLED Display With Ultra-Thin Bezels, Brighter Panel, And Improved Battery Efficiency
With Samsung unveiling its new foldable lineup, the attention has now shifted to the company’s flagship model and what the new Galaxy S26 Ultra would bring about. The S25 Ultra featured the biggest display seen yet on an S model and brought some major upgrades. The company’s main selling point remained the AI capabilities introduced in the model. When it comes to the next phone, the rumor mill has given away some key specifications about the upcoming device and how we could see a slimmer and lighter version than the predecessor, but the latest leak hints at a bigger screen than expected.
New leak suggests Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is to feature a bigger display, pushing even further than the S25 Ultra’s 6.86 inches
When the Galaxy S25 Ultra came out, it became the talk of the town for featuring a bigger screen and also for the Galaxy AI features it came packed with. While the model offered some noteworthy improvements, our attention is now on the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, as the leaks so far suggest that the upcoming device would be quite promising. As per a recent leak by a renowned tipster, Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra would come with an even bigger display, standing at 6.89 inches, compared to its predecessor, which featured a 6.86-inch screen size.
The impressive part is that while Samsung is offering a bigger screen, it is said not to be expanding on the phone’s width, which is said to remain unchanged at 77.6mm, as the tech giant has slimmed down the bezels around the display even further. Galaxy S25 Ultra came with bezels that were around 1.2mm, but it is claimed that the S26 Ultra would have a trimmed-down version that would be as thin as 1.15mm. Although the change is not huge, it could still help give the model a more modern outlook.
Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to feature a Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) OLED panel, which has been previously utilized in the Galaxy Z Fold model. This display technology has many advantages over other screens, as it removes the polarizer and instead uses a color filter and one display layer that improves the contrast of the screen. This helps in not only saving up on the phone’s battery life but also having a brighter and lighter screen.
While the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s bigger size does sound like an upgrade that could improve the viewing experience, it does pose some difficulties in terms of ergonomics. However, if the phone is lighter and slimmer, that might make up for its limited one-handed use.
