A OneDrive user recently shared on Reddit about an unpleasant incident where Microsoft randomly locked the user out of their account without giving any prior warning or even providing a clear explanation about the move. The user shared how they had uploaded photos that dated back 30 years and represented important life memories, only to be locked out of the account shortly after the transfer was made. The Redditor shared that they wanted to consolidate the files and that Microsoft’s cloud services were used as part of the migration process.
While OneDrive was supposed to be the temporary storage facility in the migration efforts, the plan was suddenly distorted when Microsoft made the account inaccessible and wiped out years of personal data in a single blow. The Redditor further shared disappointment over submitting the compliance form about 18 times, only to get an automated response and no proper help, further deepening the deafening silence from Microsoft in this regard.
